The Vincennes City Council approved on final reading an amended fee ordinance for various signs and markings in the city. The new ordinance adjusts the initial signage fee to 200 dollars, with a 50 dollar renewal fee each following year.
The renewal fee would be due annually each year on January first. Handicapped drivers needing signage for their homes would have the fees waived, with verified documentation by the Indiana Bureau of Motor Vehicles. The increased fee will also ensure cleanup of signage from designated areas where signs are no longer needed.
Council passed final reading of the ordinance unanimously.
