Vincennes City Council has approved an updated set of vehicle registration fees for use as needed across Vincennes. The new initial fee will now be 200 dollars, with a 50 dollar annual renewal due on January first of each year.
Some groups will receive waivers from the required fees. One of those waivers is for permanently handicapped individuals, but Councilman John Stangle reminds everyone of documentation needed from your doctor. The other documentation needed for a waiver is a form from the Indiana Bureau of Motor Vehicles. However, Stangle says veterans in need may also get a waiver.
The purpose for the updated ordinance is to clean up reserved spaces no longer needed, and ensure those who need the spots will have them.
