Students will start the year at Vincennes Rivet High School with a new principal. Joe Maone has been named as the leader at Rivet, taking over from longtime principal Janice Jones.
Maone comes to Rivet following a year as acting principal at White River Valley High School. He says his year at W-R-V taught him a lot of real-life lessons about running a school. Before that, Maone looks back on his time working at a private school in Louisville.
Overall, Maone will bring 30 years of experience with him to downtown Vincennes, as the new principal at Rivet. The first day of school in the Vincennes Catholic School District will be Thursday of next week.
