The Vincennes Police Department will hold its annual back to school celebration “National Night Out” tonight at Rainbow Beach. The free event runs from six to eight tonight at the Gregg Park pool.
Vincennes Police Chief Jon Hillenbrand says his most enjoyable moment comes right after the gates are opened. The event features food, games, and other attractions for the entire family. However, Hillenbrand feels one of the event’s biggest attractions is a dog demonstration.
Everything about tonight’s National Night Out is free and open to the public. The celebration is the final event of the Rainbow Beach season, since the pool closed for its public season Sunday.
