Greene County Tornado Damage Victims’ Session Set for August 27th

      The next meeting of the Greene County Long Term Recovery Group will be held on Tuesday, August 12th at 4:00 pm in the Greene County Foundation office.
      The office is located at 4513 West State Road 54 on the Greene County Fairgrounds, about one mile east of Switz City.
      The role of the volunteer recovery group is to develop a set of guidelines, and to organize and oversee the functions of disaster case management, monetary donations, non-monetary donations, fund raising, construction, volunteer management, emotional and spiritual care, communications, and any other unmet needs that arise.
     To date, 26 properties have been determined to be destroyed with another 56 properties sustaining major damage.
      The damage assessment process continues.
