The Knox County Salvation Army has been busier with assistance this summer in both its food pantry and utility assistance programs. The assistance is part of their role in helping those in need in the community.
Knox County Salvation Army commander Joey Gates understands firsthand with kids out of school, expenses—especially food costs—will naturally increase.
