Vincennes Community Schools officials are working toward placing a teacher effectiveness plan into place as part of a statewide mandate. School officials are modeling their plan after one recently adopted in the Southwest Dubois School Corporation.
During Monday night’s School Board meeting, Superintendent Greg Parsley admitted the new evaluation system would need updating across the school year. He also feels the document will need flexibility for it to meet both the Corporation’s need, and the need of individual teachers.
Parsley also noted changes to the Teacher Appreciation Grants. He is awaiting more information on the final structure of those grants, and how many teachers would be eligible for that grant payout.
