The 24-team Cal Ripken World Series has been a good boost to the City of Vincennes. The teams have come for this week’s tournament from all regions of the country, along with one U-S territory and four other nations. Those nations include Mexico, Aruba, Germany, and the Philippines.
Vincennes City Council president Brian Grove says despite the number of players and teams in town, the City is handling them just fine. However, Grove does admit a couple more hotels would be nice, to keep all of the teams in town,
Vincennes will continue hosting the Cal Ripken World Series games from today through Saturday. The tournament is being played at the Vincennes Cub League complex on Bambino Drive.
