Angela Louise “Angie” Hatton, a cherished wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away on August 23, 2025, at the age of 59, in her hometown of Vincennes, Indiana.
Born on September 2, 1965, in Vincennes, Angie was the daughter of Charles Kern and Henrietta “Primus” Orr. Her life was filled with love, creativity, and an enduring spirit that touched everyone she met. Angie completed her education in Vincennes, graduating from high school and embarking upon a life rich in experiences and accomplishments.
In her hometown on June 2, 1983, she married the love of her life, David Hatton. They built a life together on the foundation of an unwavering commitment to family and faith. Angie worked in the role of office manager at Klein Reality for many years, imbuing the workplace with her kindness and support.
She loved spending time with her family, especially her beloved grandson Henry. She also loved her community from The Walk to Emmaus and Thursday Church. Those who knew her will remember Angie not just for her deeds but for the warmth and love she radiated in every aspect of her life.
Angie is survived by her devoted husband, David Hatton; her son, Justin Hatton; her adored grandson, Henry Hatton; her brother-in-law Marlin Long; her nephew, Ryan Long; and her sisters, Debbie Linneweber and Kathy Jones. Her presence will be sorely missed, but will remain a guiding force in their lives.
She journeys on to join those who have preceded her in passing: her father, Charles Kern, her mother, Henrietta “Primus” Orr, her brother Jim Kern, and her sister Mary Long. Those she leaves behind will continue to celebrate her legacy—a legacy composed of boundless love, humor that arrived at just the right time, and kindness that knew no limits.
Angie’s story reflects the path of a woman who loved deeply, gave freely, and lived with a joy that was contagious to all who had the pleasure of knowing her. Her life was a testament to the beauty that resonates when you wholeheartedly devote yourself to your family, your faith, and your community.
