441 Main Work is Done, But Improvements Remain

The main work is done on the State Road 441 improvements through Vincennes, but there is still a little more work to go.

The biggest part of the project was downsizing 441 on Willow Street from four lanes to two, with a center turn lane.  INDOT spokesman Gary Bryan says the move has made that part of Willow Street safer.  However, Bryan says the work isn’t done quite yet on 441 near downtown Vincennes,

‘The 441 work is a one construction season project to improve and reduce speeds on the entire highway.  441 runs from U-S 41 to the Memorial Bridge on Vigo Street downtown.
