In volleyball:
The Vincennes Lincoln Lady Alices lost in straight sets to Castle, 11-25, 14-25, 17-25. Kiaya Farrar led with seven service points, while Cami Tredway had seven digs, and Hadley Piper scored 11 assists. The JV lost to Castle in two games, 18-25 and 16-25.
The South Knox Spartans defeated Wood Memorial in four sets, 25-19, 17-25,25-16, and 25-20. Braelyn Gladish led with 27 points, 11 aces, and 16 digs. Janet West added 12 kills, while while Ava Steffey had 18 assists.
In golf:
South Knox defeated North Central 214-243. The Lady Spartans’ Olivia Gray was medalist with a 46.
The Rivet Patriots defeated Forest Park 191-208. Rivet’s golfer Daylin Thompson was medalist with a 43. The team score of 191 was theLady Patriots’ lowest team score for several years.
In soccer:
The Vincennes Lincoln Lady Alices score six first half goals to defeat Bloomfield 6-0 on the road. Both JJ Riggs and Azaria Easley had two goals apiece in the win, with a single tally from Katie Doerner. The sixth goal was an own goal scored by the Bloomfield defense.
In tennis:
Loogootee defeated South Knox 4-1. The lone Spartan victory was by Carson Arnold and Cooper Neal in Number Two doubles.
One schedule change for Lincoln High School soccer. The Home game vs. Evansville Harrison is now set for a noon kickoff. It had previously been set for a four p-m start time.
In Junior High sports:
Clark Middle School defeated North Knox 25 to 31. Washington did not have enough runners for a team score. Clark’s Sam Strosnider won the meet, with North Knox’s Jackson Mason fourth.
Clark Middle School 7th grade A and B volleyball teams lost in three sets to Jasper. The 8th grade won in three sets over Jasper, with Emma Moore leading with 12 kills.
Rivet Middle School volleyball teams lost in two sets in both 7th and 8th grade competition to Loogootee.
The North Knox cross country team defeated Clark’s girls 23-37. Sawyer Keusch was the overall meet winner for Clark.
Clark beat Rivet in Tennis 3-2
In golf, Rivet defeated South Knox in a six-hole match, 107-116.
