The Knox County Council will wrap up its budget hearings with a meeting this morning with its fiscal adviser Reedy Financial. Much of the budget setting happened last night, as the Board works to slot an estimated 22 million dollars in expected money into various Department accounts for 2026.
One area that did get funded was the Pantheon Business Theatre. Council voted 4-3 to fund the business development center at its full asking price of 150-thousand dollars. The Council vote reversed a 2-1 Knox County Commissioners’ decision to request it not be funded for the next year.
Today’s final County budget session begins at ten a-m.
