GSH to Hold Pap Smear, HPV Testing September 23rd

Vincennes’ Good Samaritan Hospital will offer free Pap and HPV testing to the community on Tuesday, September 23rd from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Family Health Center, 1027 Washington Avenue.
      Cervical cancer is one of the most preventable cancers, and early detection through regular screenings is key.
      A Pap test can detect precancerous changes, while HPV testing identifies the presence of high-risk human papillomavirus, the leading cause of cervical cancer.
      
The event is open to women age 21 and older who do not have insurance.
      Testing will be performed by female nurse practitioners.
      Appointments are required, and spots are limited.
