Turning Point USA at Indiana University held a vigil for co-founder Charlie Kirk following his assassination. Students and public officials attended the event at the Indiana Memorial Union to honor Kirk’s life and support for free speech on campuses. IU Chapter President James Chambers said Kirk’s death “felt like a punch to the gut.”
U.S. Senator Todd Young urged an end to political violence and called for responsible action. Attendees, including Whitley Marsh and Amy Hagan, said they plan to continue Kirk’s message of peaceful debate and civic engagement.
