Washington captured the North Knox golf sectional at Highpoint Country Club. Barr-Reeve was second and Pike Central third. All three of those teams will advance to next weeks Regional at Country Oaks.
Also advancing will be Kevi Black of Vincennes Rivet , who had one of the top three lowest scores from non-advancing teams.
Sullivan downed Vincennes Rivet 3-0 in girls volleyball. Claudia Herman led the Lady Patriots with seven kills and 34 digs. Kendal Newman added 30 digs.
South Knox blanked Wood Memorial 5-0 in boys tennis. Winners for the Spartans were
Layne Hayes, Maddox Sargeant, and Issac Shelton. Also the double teams of Carson Arnold and Owen Robinson and Ethan Cork and Cooper Neal.
Vincennes Lincoln blanked Washington 5-0. Singles winners were Theo Bronauer, Carter Johnson and Connor Hahn. Also the doubles teams Dayton Piper and Mabry Fleck and the team of William Burgess and Jadon Miller.
Rivet beat Washington Catholic 3-0 in boys soccer . Patriot Goals were scored by Henry Holka , Miles Holka, and Blaze Boger.
The Clark Middle School 7th and 8th grades split against Castle. The 8th grade wins 28-20; Daveon Jennings was 9 for 11 for 140 yards and a touchdown pass to Walker Jennings. ryker McCrary carried nine times for 79 yards, and two scores. The 7th grade lost to Castle 38-0.
In middle school Volleyball play, Rivet 7th beat Shoals 2-1 while the 8th grade lost to
Shoals 2-0.
Both Vincennes Lincoln and North Knox play at home to night, as Week Five of the IHSAA football season gets going tonight. Both teams will host conference opponents.
The Vincennes Lincoln Alices will welcome Castle to Inman Field. That game tine is 7:30. You can hear it on WZDM 92.1, and see it through TOC Direct Sports-dot-com.
