The Pairings were announced yesterday for the Upcoming state soccer tournament. All of the action begins on the
week of October 4th.
Lets start with the boys…At the Class 2-A Washington Sectional…Opening night has Southridge playing Gibson
Southern while the host Hatchets meet Princeton. The winner meets in one semi-final while Vincennes Lincoln
takes on Pike Central in the Other semi-final. Those two teams received the bye.
At the Class A Northeast Dubois Sectional…
Vincennes Rivet plays Barr-Reeve while South Knox meets Washington Catholic. The host Jeeps and North Knox drew the bye
And will meet in the other semi-final.
In girls action ….
At the Class 2-A Sectional at Gibson Southern….The only match on opening night has the host Titans playing Southridge.
The winner will play Vincennes Lincoln while the other semi-final has Princeton taking on Washington.
At the class A Sullivan Sectional…Opening night has Bloomfield playing Barr-Reeve with the second semi-final featuring
WRV taking on North Knox. Sullivan and Rivet got the first round bye.
Finally at the Forest Park Class A sectional… The First night has Tell City playing Shoals while
Washington Catholic takes on Northeast Dubois. The semi-final has South Knox taking on Forest Park’

On the local sports scene for today..
The South Knox Boys soccer team plays host to Vincennes Rivet at 5:30.
The Lincoln Boys soccer team visits Sullivan at seven.
The Rivet Tennis team plays at Loogootee at 4:30.
The South Knox tennis team travels to Southridge at five.
The South Knox volleyball team is at home to Bloomfield at Six.
