Both South Knox and Lincoln High School are onto their respective IHSAA soccer finals.
At Washington, Vincennes Lincoln got there with a 4-1 victory over Pike Central. They will now face Gibson Southern in Saturday afternoon’s final; the Titans defeated homestanding Washington 2-1.
At Northeast Dubois, the South Knox Spartans got the lone goal they needed to beat Barr-Reeve 1-0. They will play Northeast Dubois for the title Saturday afternoon at two p-m; the host Jeeps downed North Nox 10-0.
Finally, at White River Valley, the home team Wolverines defeated Bloomfield 7-1. They will play Eastern Greene for the title; The T-Birds knocked off Lighthouse Christian Academy 3-1.
Girls’ soccer semifinal play will happen tonight at various locations. At Gibson Southern, Vincennes Lincoln plays the home team at eight p-m. The first game, at six, features Princeton and Washington.
At Sullivan, the five p-m game has Barr=Reeve facing undefeated White River Valley. Game 2 will pit homestanding Sullivan against Rivet.
At Forest Park, the South Knox Lady Spartans face the home team Lady Rangers at seven. Game 1 will be Tell City versus Northeast Dubois.
Championship games in all of the girls’ soccer sectionals will be on Saturday evening.
