The Sectional Pairings for the Upcoming Football tournament were
announced last night.
In Class 3-A sectional 32, Tough draw for the Lincoln Alices as they will host number two Gibson Southern in the
First round. The winner gets top ranked Evansville memorial in the Semi-finals, Other first round
Match ups feature Mt Vernon at Southridge and Princeton hosting Mater Dei.
Class 2-A Sectional 39….Sullivan travels to South Vermillion. North Posey hosts Pike Central. Greencastle
Visits Brown County and Linton entertains Mitchell.
In Class 1-A Sectional 48, the North Knox Warriors will host Providence in the
First round. The winner will play the Forest Park-Springs Valley winner. The bottom half
of the bracket will pit North Daviess at Perry Central and South Spencer taking on Tecumseh.
Class 4-A ….Evansville Central plays Reitz, Washington hosts Heritage Hills, Jasper plays at Boonville
Abd Bosse takes on Harrison. Finally in 5-A, Evansville North travels to New Albany and Castle hosts
Floyd Central.
The Vincennes Lincoln boys soccer team is now getting ready for its Regional semi-final match up
With Heritage Hills on Wednesday. The Alices surprised Gibson Southern 1-0 on Saturday to win the ”Washington
2-A sectional. Lincoln enters the Regional at 8-9 while Heritage Hills is 13-3-2. Kickoff from the
Lincoln pitch is 6pm.
Other Regional match ups….
Class 3-A – Evansville North is at Jeffersonville
Class 1-A – Northeast Dubois plays at White River Valley
And Providence hosts Forest Park.
