The Vincennes Redevelopment Commission is moving forward on a contract plan to take on a Housing Rehabilitation Program director. At yesterday’s session, the position was directed toward targeting the worst houses in the city’s TIF zone, and earmarking the property for redevelopment.
The plan is to hire an outside rehab expert for a professional agreement. It would not be handled as part of a City department. However, R-D-C officials will work with City financial leaders to work out the program’s fiscal impact.
R-D-C members hope to have a final agreement for the contract worked out by its meeting in November.
