Two ranked teams will open their girls’ basketball seasons against each other tonight, as the 2-A Number 3 North Knox Lady Warriors face the 3-A Number 1 Washington Hatchets. Varsity tip off time is around 7:30; you can hear the game on 105.7, WUZR.
Two Knox County teams will also be in action tomorrow night, as the 2-A Number 2 South Knox Lady Spartans open up against the Eastern Greene Lady T-Birds. That game tomorrow night is also on 105.7, WUZR. Finally, Vincennes Rivet will square off with Evansville Harrison at the Holscher Gym; Rivet is 0-1 on the year. That game is on 97.7, WAOV.
Sectional final football games are in play across the area tonight. In Class 1-A, 10-1 North Daviess will play 8-2 Providence. It is another War on 54 tonight, as Linton hosts Sullivan in the 2-A Sectional Final. Both teams ar 8-2. Gibson Southern—a week off their takedown of 3-A Number 1Evansville Memorial—heads to the Reitz Bowl to face 6-5 Mater Dei. In 4-A, 9-2 Jasper is at home to play 10-1 Heritage Hills. Finally, in 5-A, 8-2 Evansville North goes to suburban Louisville to play 9-1 Floyd Central.
