The Vincennes Utility Services Board received information on a potential 30 million dollar bond issue being considered for next year. The issue would contain 15 million dollars for water projects and 15 million for sewer-based endeavors.
The largest parts of the bond proposal are ten million dollars for a water filtration plant. The plant will be focused on purifying water for industrial use, due to levels of iron and manganese in the water. The largest sewer expense would be four million dollars for electrical work, and for a new generator.
The 2026 potential bond issue, and its proposed projects, are still in the draft stage at this time.
