The state says around 300-thousand Hoosiers who have their medical coverage through Medicaid are losing the coverage with MDwise being removed from the provider list.
Indiana Family and Social Services Administration officials say MDwise won’t be in the managed care health plan options for the Healthy Indiana Plan and Hoosier Healthwise programs on January 1st.
MDwise has provided Medicaid services for over 30-years in Indiana and has challenged the action in court.
They have a four-year contract with the state that was signed in 2023.
