Pike County officials are asking the public to stay away from the site of a partially collapsed building in the community of Winslow.
No injuries were reported when a portion of the ‘Palace Lodge’ collapsed early Wednesday morning.
The collapse has forced the closure of some streets adjacent to the building.
According to Wikipedia, the building has been the location of several businesses, the meeting place for two different secret societies, and the center of the town’s commercial district since its construction in 1892.
It has been declared a historic site because of its historically significant architecture.
