Tomorrow on through the Thanksgiving weekend will mark the first prolonged cold-weather season bout with arctic air. Temperatures are forecast to start dipping tomorrow, and stay locked in through at least early December.
Indiana Department of Transportation road crews have been preparing for the cold, and especially snow and ice, yet to be seen this winter. INDOT spokesman Gary Bryan says the drivers of those familiar yellow vehicles will stay in familiar territory. Bryan also gives the advantage to those drivers, in that they mainly live in the areas where they are working.
As always, INDOT officials urge everyone to watch out for their drivers, and to use caution on area roads during inclement weather.
