State Comptroller Leading Effort to Get Washington to Confront $38T Debt Crisis

    Indiana State Comptroller Elise Nieshalla is leading a national effort urging federal leaders to immediately confront America’s $38 trillion debt crisis.
      Nieshalla, who chairs the National Debt Crisis Task Force, joined 90 state elected officials in sending an urgent letter to President Donald Trump and Congress saying the debt problem is a massive crisis.
      State leaders warn that the annual interest payment now exceeds the budgets of both the U.S. Military and Medicare.
