The City of Vincennes has decided not to pursue an ordinance to allow side-by-side vehicles to operate legally on City streets. The idea was considered, but not forwarded, from a Vincennes City Council committee.
Vincennes Mayor Joe Yochum himself is against it. Mayor Yochum also feels if the City allowed those vehicles, it would open the door to making other similar transportation styles street legal.
Golf carts are allowed on City streets, but only after passage of an in section, ensuring the cart is in line with various City regulations.
