Federal health officials say the U.S. is seeing a major spike in the number of flu cases.
The latest data from the CDC shows over 31-hundred Americans died from the virus in 2025 and called it the most severe flu season since 2018.
The new federal data says the flu was responsible for 279 pediatric deaths.
As of December 20th, it says there’s been an estimated seven-point-five-million flu cases in the U.S. and 81-thousand hospitalizations.
