Rising Expenses for Water, Trash Expected in Vincennes

Rising expenses, and lower revenues, have led the City of Vincennes to remind everyone of rate increases on the horizon.
The first increase will be in rates for Vincennes Water Utilities. Vincennes Mayor Joe Yochum says the coming rate raise is due. The other increase will be in trash collection. The actual mode of the increase is still being considered, but regardless of how it happens, Mayor Yochum knows it has been a long time coming.

The trash increase could happen as a raise in sticker fees, or in a monthly bill. Vincennes City Council is still reviewing the method they wish to approve at this time.
