NK School Board to Consider Demolition of Vacant North Knox East Building

The North Knox School Board will consider taking bids under advisement Monday for demolition of what was the North Knox East facility. The Edwaredsport-based location has been vacant for many years, following its closure as a elementary and junior-high facility. It was also the first location for a consolidated North Knox High School, from 1963 to the mid-70’s when the current North Knox High School was built.
North Knox Superintendent Darrell Bobe feels it would take significant dollars to bring the building back into usable shape. The issue is on the agenda for the Corporation’s session on Monday afternoon.
