The proposed “PILOT” legislation would let the Bears pay for construction and negotiate property taxes with the village, aiming for a long-term lower tax bill.
Governor Pritzker says talks are ongoing but progressing.
Meanwhile, Indiana is still trying to attract the Bears, as a bill for a Northwest Indiana stadium passed the Senate in January.
