Vincennes Police are still looking for capable men and women to join them as City Police officers. In the latest hiring process, the V-P-D is expected to hire one person to fill one of three openings.
City Police chief Jon Hillenbrand isn’t sure if they will ever get all the spots filled. Hillenbrand also knows an expected spring retirement will also add another opening to their ranks.
Information on the net application and testing process is expected soon. The applicants are tested in physical agility and with a written test. The scoring list is then evaluated by the Vincennes Police Merit Commission for their potential addition to the City Police force.
