Two people from Evansville were arrested on several charges Tuesday for causing a chase that lasted almost 90 miles.
A trooper tried to stop a pick-up truck for driving 83 mph in a 65-mph zone in Bloomington, but the driver refused to stop and continued south on I-69 at speeds of more than 100 mph.
Stops sticks and a Gibson County Sheriff’s deputy using the PIT maneuver caused the vehicle to leave the roadway and come to a rest in the median.
Police say they found a small amount of meth in the truck.
Both people in the truck were charged with resisting arrest, possession of meth, and obstruction of justice.
