A public session will happen at three p-m on Sunday, March first at Monroe City’s Blue Jeans Center, concerning various solar energy recommendations for the Knox County Commissioners. The recommendations were submitted to the Commissioners to the Knox County Area Plan Commission.
The date is on a Sunday. Knox County Commissioner T-J Brink wants the Sunday date and time to ensure maximum public participation. However, Commissioner Kellie Streeter was concerned about “pick and choose” subjects for public comment, and was also concerned about the Sunday session.
The session was approved 2-1, with Streeter voting against it.
