In the area, one Indiana county has put a ten-ton limit in place, while one removes theirs and a third keeps one in place.
The Daviess County Commissioners removed a 10-ton weight restriction on county roads Wednesday, after implementing it last week to protect roads from damage caused by heavy vehicles during freeze-thaw cycles.
Conversely, the Knox County Commissioners established a similar 10-ton limit on Tuesday, with plans to reassess its necessity next week.
Additionally, the 10-ton load restriction on Martin County Roads, imposed on February 12th, is still in force.
