Anyone interested in future solar projects across Knox County are reminded of a special Knox County Commissioners’ session at three this Sunday. The session will be in the Monroe City Blue Jeans Center; the facility is located on State Road 61.
The meeting is designed to get public input for an update of the County’s five year=old solar ordinance. The review has been unde3way since last fall, and has led to the county’s Area Plan Commission making recommendations to the Commissioners.
At the most recent Knox County Commissioners session, Commissioners’ president T-J Brink set up the Sunday session. At that meeting, Brink stated his intent to set a time where anyone who wanted to be there could make their voices heard.
Anyone interested in revising the County’s ordinance for future solar projects is encouraged to attend.
