The Steen Township fire department was called to a house fire on Monday afternoon on Adams Street in Wheatland.
Upon arrival, the house was fully involved so Knox County Sheriff’s Deputy Matt McCormick pitched in to help.
The house and its contents were a total loss.
The Shelby Seth family was not home at the time and no injuries were reported.
No word yet on a possible cause.
