A tense Tuesday night scene at Washington’s Eastside Park was solved without incident by Washington City Polce.
Authorities responded to the park after learning of an armed man at the park, who was possibly suicidal. The un-named man was in a vehicle, and refused to leave it. He also refused any contact from authorities while in the car.
The scene was secured, and the park evacuated, while crews worked with the man. After a three-hour standoff, authorities got the person involved in throw out the gun and leave the vehicle. He was then evaluated on the scene by emergency medical personnel. No other information on the incident has been released.
