Trash collection updates continue to be an pending problem for the Vincennes City Council. Council members are agreed there need to be a rise in collection revenue, but are still considering how to approach the issue.
Two main ideas are in the Council’s sights—raising sticker fees, or moving to a monthly flat fee system. However, they do it, Vincennes Street Superintendent Jeff Wood says they will get the garbage collected. However, if Council decides on a flat fee system, Wood believes he will need extra workers to make it work.
At this time, no timetable has been set to discuss raises in the City’s trash collection revenue.
