82 year old Michael Jones of Bicknell man received a 12 year sentence today for his sexual assault plea in Knox Circuit Court. The case referred to his actions in sexually abusing a 14 yr old girl. The case was filed in 2021.
Prosecutor Dirk Carnahan argued for the maximum sentence, due to the damage and trauma caused to the survivor of the abuse as well as the damage to her family. Carnahan also argued that the man had violated conditions of bond by stalking his victim, and asked for the sentence, despite his being in poor health.
