The Knox County Veterans’ Court is now taking defendants for hearings at the County Courthouse in Vincennes. The Court is being overseen by officials in the Knox Circuit Court.
Circuit Court Judge Monica Gilmore says the court now has preliminary certification from the State of Indiana. That will allow it to operate through Septmber; permanent certification proceedings from state officials are in the works at this time.
The court will be specifically for any military veterans. It will be the only court of its kind in the immediate region.
