Law enforcement units across the area have seen an increase in various cybercrimes over the last few years. To deter that, Knox County is the home of one of the state’s High Tech Crime units.
Vincennes Police Chief Jon Hillenbrand says having that resource gives them a leg up on quicker cybercrime investigation. Hillenbrand also points to another advantage—the High Tech Crimes unit for this area is based in their building.
The High Tech Crimes Unit in Vincennes was started up in large part through the work of the Knox County Prosecutor’s Office.
