A Carlisle man was among eleven people convicted in a federal firearms case. The federal action took 23 illegal guns off the streets in both Evansville and Indianapolis.
24 year-old Cornelius Cooper the Third was sentenced to over 11 and a half years in federal prison, along with three years of supervised release. Cooper was convicted of both armed robbery and battery resulting is serious bodily injury. Cooper’s over 11 year sentence was the largest of any of the eleven convicted in the overall incident.
