The Knox County Commissioners continue to forward a possible Emergency Operations Center setup in the Knox County Sheriff’s Department shell facility. The idea is under consideration at this time.
The empty shell building will contain nearly 39-hundre square feet of space on two floors. County officials are considering the feasibility of that move at this time. The issue is set for an update at the Commissioners’ session on April seventh.
The original plan was for the E-O-C to be built on county-owned land on Hart Street Road. However, that plan was shelved due to cost concerns.
