The 4-H part of the Knox County Fair gets into high gear today, with various livestock and animal competitions starting today. Two of the bigger shows of the week will be the 4-H Swine Show starting tomorrow, and the 4-H beef show set for Wednesday.
Fair festivities started on Friday, and continued through the first weekend. It’s a change Fair Board officer Will McCormick admits is a bit different. Hotter weather over the weekend, and through the early week, may affect visitor numbers. However, McCormick reminds everyone the heat isn’t quite as hot in the evening hours.
A cooler midweek and late week is possible though, as temperatures are forecast to moderate to the low to mid-80’s by Wednesday.
