The Knox County Area Plan Commission has approved a one-year renewal for the Ratts 2 solar generation plant in southern Knox County. The facility will be located just north of the White River along State Road 61 in southern Knox County.
The renewal passed six-one, with Rod Mullins voting against the extension. One nearby landholder also opposed the extension as part of the session.
The Knox County Commissioners also recently approved an extension in the solar farm’s economic development agreement. At this time, the facility could be built next year– pending work on a similar solar farm in Pike County.
