Knox Circuit Court Judge Monica Gilmore sentenced 35 year-old William Cummings to 100 years in prison following his guilty plea on two counts of child molesting. According to Knox County Prosecutor Dirk Carnahan, the counts happened to a girl who was six years old at the time of the incident, in July of 2021.
Cummings was convicted by a Knox Circuit Court jury following a two-day trial, and 35 minutes of jury deliberation. Cummings was taken back to the Knox County Jail; he will be transferred from there to serve his sentence.
