After a couple of cooler days and nights, the heat will be on this area starting today, and at this time, is expected to continue through next week.
National Weather Service forecaster Matt Eckhoff says the area– and state– will share equally in the coming hot weather.
The hot weather could be interrupted by some hit and miss thunderstorms through the period.
