Indiana Republican Governor’s candidate Mike Braun has a different running mate– thanks to delegates to the Indiana State Republican convention.
Party delegates selected Noblesville pastor Micah Beckwith as the lieutenant governor nominee over state Representative Julie McGuire.
The Jasper native Braun said after the vote that he is in charge and if Beckwith does not work with him, “it will probably not be as fruitful in terms of what we can get done.” The nominee for governor also said he wanted someone with legislative experience as his running mate.
