Knox County residents are reminded of the free large item collection day for all Knox County Residents. It will be held Saturday, July 20th from 8:00 AM until Noon at Republic Services location 27-06 North 2nd Street in Vincennes. Proof of residency will be required.
Knox County residents can bring all trash and large items for disposal including furniture, mattresses, carpeting tied in three-foot bundles, and small appliances that do not contain CFC’s. CFC-containing items that won’t be accepted include refrigerators and air conditioners.
Other items that won’t be accepted include construction debris, building materials, tires, paint, liquid waste, electronics, and hazardous waste.
No commercial haulers will be allowed.
