Bell-ringers are getting registered now to ring bells for the Knox County Salvation Army’s Christmas kettle campaign. Individuals, groups, and businesses are encouraged to apply for the event; it gets into high gear after Thanksgiving.
Knox County Salvation Army commander Joey Gates says the early rush of registrations has turned into a relative trickle. Gates believes one of the highlights will be a few long-awaited challenge “ring-offs” between various government agencies and service clubs.
If you wish to volunteer for a time to ring for the Salvation Army this year, you can get a time online at registertoring-dot-com. That address is also available with this story at (Website).
